Privacy Policy
Watchmen Mobile is a guided prayer app. You can use it as an anonymous guest without giving any personal details. If you choose to create an account, we store the minimum needed to sync your watch across devices. Your journal reflections are private and readable only by you.
Information we collect
- Guest identity. On first launch we create an anonymous account so the app can save your progress. This is a random identifier, not tied to your name or email.
- Account details (optional). If you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple, we store your email address and, for social sign-in, the basic profile the provider returns.
- Your prayer activity. Your chosen 30-minute watch slot, completed prayer sessions (points prayed, duration), day streak, and preferences (language, notification toggles).
- Journal entries. Private reflections you write. These are readable only by your own account and are never shared.
- Presence. When you are in a live prayer session we may record a coarse signal (your slot and country) to show aggregate "praying now" counts. No precise location is collected.
- Donations (if you give). Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number. We keep a record of the donation amount and date.
- Device notifications. If you enable watch reminders or verses, we store a push token to deliver them.
- Diagnostics (optional). If crash reporting is enabled, we collect anonymized crash and error data to fix problems. No personal identifiers are attached by default.
How we use it
To run the prayer wall and convert slot times to your local timezone, sync your account across devices, send the reminders you opt into, show aggregate coverage to the ministry, process donations, and keep the app stable. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app. They process information only on our behalf and only for the purposes below:
- Secure hosting and account services, to keep your account and data safe and available.
- Payment processing for donations, handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Sign-in with Google or Apple, only if you choose to use it.
- Crash and error reporting to help us keep the app stable, using anonymized information, only if enabled.
We never sell your information or use it for advertising. We share it only as needed to provide these services, or where the law requires it.
Data retention and deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting [email protected]. Guest data remains until you delete the app's data or request removal.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
